		<description>believe independent supplemental schools are the wave of the future. They can be as good as, if not better, than extant supplemental synagogue schools.  Just because the authors of this article, and the people interviewed, have lower expectations does not mean that all independent supplemental schools will be founded around such a social-action, less costly vision. I for one see no reason to continue to invest in the synagogue schoo, model, and believe this article is not just a warning, but a clarion call, with appropriate cautions, for people to consider creating independent schools-a project I plan to start working on.</description>
